Cinnamon Rolls
Yields about a dozen cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients
- Rolls:
- Glaceing:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- ½ cup butter
- Optional: ½ cup raisins
Instructions
- Scald milk and mix with butter.
- Mix flour, yeast, sugar, salt (2 ¼ cups flour) and egg.
- Add the remaining flour in ¼ cup increments.
- Knead for at least 5 minutes.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Mix glaceing.
- Roll out dough and spread glaceing on it.
- Cut 12 stripes and roll them up.
- Seal bottom.
- Let them rise for about 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F / 190°C for 20 minutes.
