Pandesal
Pandesal are very sweet buns made in part from the rest of old bread or other crumbs.
Ingredients
- 2 ⅛ cups of all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 pack (1 tsp) yeast
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ cup milk
- ⅛ cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- ½ egg yolk
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs (30g)
Instructions
- Mix and knead until dough is smooth and pulls away easily from the sides (about 10 minutes)
- Let it rise for 1 ½ hours at room temperature
- Divide into 8 pieces and transfer to baking parchment with about 1 in space
- Let them raise for another hour at room temperature (or 12 hours in the fridge)
- Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C / 350°F
